   Their solution comes in the form of a cockroach（蟑螂）.Cockroaches have been around for over 300 million years and there are over 4，000 different species.But not until now did anyone ever think they may be used to deal with hunger.
   All female cockroaches lay eggs，except one species known as the Pacific Beetle Cockroach.The Pacific Beetle doesn't produce eggs.Its baby insects are born alive.After birth，the mother creates protein crystals to feed its young.
   These crystals look like milk and scientists are very interested in them.One protein crystal includes more than three times the protein found in the same amount of milk.It also includes fat and sugar，making it the perfect food for the hungry.Here we have a solution to world hunger，but there are two problems.First，how can we get enough crystals from the cockroach？Second，even if you are hungry，would you eat something that comes from such an insect？
   Don' t worry!Scientists are trying to copy the DNA of the cockroach so they can create the crystals in a lab.No cockroaches will be required in the production of crystals.It is still difficult to imagine that something taken from a cockroach end world hunger.But if it works，the world will become a better place，even if cockroaches continue to live on our streets and in our homes!
