The mailbox，relic from the previous homeowners，had already been in rough shape when we moved in.The paint was faded.The metal pole holding up the box was rusted（生銹的）.It stood at the end of our long driveway，far enough away from our house.Every time I saw it，it just reminded me of all the problems in my life."I wish we had a better mailbox，"I found myself thinking as I pulled out of the driveway.I probably would have forgotten all about it if it were not for the news we got one morning.
