     It was 11：30 a.m.，and the fishing so far had been a failure.Still，floating on the water 40 miles off the North Carolina coast was a great way to spend a lazy July day.It was really relaxing with calm seas，clear skies，and a breeze around them.There was not another boat in sight until now.Suddenly，Andrew Sherman，a50-year-old father from Roanoke，Virginia，saw a spot in the distance.As the spot approached，it started to look like a boat."Jack，"he yelled to his 21-year-old son，"someone's headed straight at us!"
     Strangely，the boat was about to crash into the side of their boat.Andrew sped their boat up as quickly as he could to avoid being crashed.The Shermans stared incredibly.Four fishing lines out，music playing-an average recreational fishing boat，except there wasn't a person in sight.The boat owner must have gone below into the cabin，leaving his boat travelling along at 10 mph.
     "We must follow it，"Andrew said.
     As their boat got close to it，they shouted，"Hey!Hey!"But there was no response.Ahorrifying new thought flashed into their mind：The boat owner had gone below and suffered a heart attack，or fell into the water.
     Andrew moved their boat alongside the other while Jack leaped onto the other boat.Hemanaged to bring the boat to a stop and rushed down into the cabin.He came back up a moment later."Empty，"he said.
     Astonished，father and son said at the same time，"What happened？"The two men could have left it at that，but they were curious.Locating the boat's GPS system，they searched its history log（航海日志）.The missing owner had marked points along his route indicating good fishing spots.Then the points suddenly stopped a few miles back.
